FAQ + Helpful Hints
Where to look for inspiration?
Once you become an LLP bride, you will start to understand our team’s sheer passion and excitement for weddings. Your inbox will slowly fill with ideas and links to weddings that have the same feel as yours. We will constantly check in to see if you need any vendor recommendations or ideas, so get ready! The following links are some of our favorite wedding authorities on everything from etiquette to how to utilize a mason jar 100,000 different ways!
Southern Weddings: The perfect dose of bowties, honey, charm and sweet, southern goodness. Chock full of real weddings all over the South, with many southern weddings from other parts thrown in the mix, too. I love how active the Southern Ladies are at posting new weddings. You can expect to see at least two updates a day! And the archives – oh, they’re sweet. Stop by the shop, too – we’ve got all the back issues of the printed magazine waiting to be thumbed through.
Style Me Pretty: So beautiful, so classic and so full of help. Not only does this site continually update with new wedding fodder, but they are constantly adding DIY projects to their archives. You can even search their archives by wedding style and color pallettes.
Ruffled: A new favorite, and mostly because it matches my own style perfectly. Ruffled’s weddings are full of burlap, vintage goodness and whimsical charm. They also have a DIY section featuring both real weddings and tutorials. A special section allows brides to sell all the special things they bought to decorate their weddings – a perfect place to shop decor, if you ask us!
Pearl Lexington: Catering towards Lexington, Kentucky weddings, this site has much more in the way of ideas and etiquette to serve all our ladies. I love the items listed on their tools page: a budget and a little 9 month checklist to help out with all those planning woes. The blog is just bursting with charm, ideas and what-to-dos.
What is the LLP style?
Our team all hail from Hilltopper land, Western Kentucky University, where we were trained in the most amazing photojournalism school in the nation. Really, it’s a great place that produces award-winning photojournalists. Our style stems from here. We are highly reactive, our images are very emotive, classic, bright, full of life. Your wedding day will be documented from the minute we arrive to the second we pull away from your reception. All of it. The connections, the details, the love and the faces. Our style takes you back to the moment you were living as you look at your finished images. That’s the goal – that you be the most beautiful version of yourself and that your images are so true-to-life, looking at them takes you back to the moment you were living in.
What sort of equipment do you use and are their backups?
There are absolutely backups and backups for our backups. We photograph using Nikon professional digital cameras and lenses. Sometimes we throw a film camera in the mix, but we’re always working with professional, Nikon lenses, flashes and bodies.
What is your pricing for packages?
Wedding photography packages start at $1800 while small, garden weddings start at $1000. All packages include a DVD archive of your images, with the rights to reprint and an engagement session, if you’re hiring two photographers. For more information on pricing and packaging, please get in touch by choosing the Contact link above or by email (elizabeth@lizzieloo.com) or calling the studio (502-643-6253).
Who will photograph my wedding?
You will choose! The beauty of commissioning custom artists is that you choose who does your work. Elizabeth is the main shooter, and unless you choose an associate package, she will be your main photographer. Both Nathan and Thomas are available to photograph your wedding individually, too. Perfect for the bride who wants the signature LLP style, but can’t wiggle Elizabeth into her budget.
Our favorite way to shoot is as a team – just two or all three of us. The biggest difference with two and three photographers is the delivery. You get double -or triple!- the images, double the perspective and double the story. When we come as a team, Elizabeth spends her day with the girls and Nathan or Thomas with the boys. We follow every part of the day that you’re missing out on by being with your side of the bridal party. Perfect for weddings with more than 150 guests. We strongly suggest our team of three for weddings with guest lists over 350. We capture more images, we can help one another move from site to site and your day runs much more smoothly when we work as a team. In the end, we’re here to serve you and will work our buns off to make memorable images regardless of your guest list or our photographer lineup.
Elizabeth Lauer
I’m where the Lizzie Loo namesake came from and I’m the lead lady around this place. For six years I have found joy in photographing weddings and the love of two people. In college, I founded Lizzie Loo Photography and have enjoyed meeting and growing with my clients since 2005.
I am your lead photographer, and in most cases the person you will choose to lead your photography team. You have the opportunity to hire me, by myself, or in a team with either or both of the guys. All of this will be written into your contract and communicated clearly, up front. Chances are your day with me will be filled with lots of laughs, comfort and fun. I’ve been known to reconstruct a bridal bouquet or reattach a flown-away veil, too.

Nathan Morgan
26-years-old and married to my high school sweetheart, Kelly. I have a one year old son named Milo, who I love more than I can explain. I began shooting photos before cell phones and Facebook. My work has been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, Pictures of the Year International and the Associated Press and has appeared in the Lexington Herald Leader,The Memphis Commercial Appeal and USA Today.
I’ve traveled the world with my camera, exploring small towns, big cities and everything in between. I like coffee, sweatshirts with hoods, warm conversation and all things cozy. I’m hopelessly sentimental. My attention to detail and my ability to anticipate emotion help me capture those little moments that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.
Because of my passion for documentary photography, I try to shoot with a style that is selective, while still taking time to craft images that are moment driven and story telling.

Thomas Simonetti
Thomas Simonetti fell in love with photography at a young age. In that day and age, he would make family photo albums and sell them for $5 each. A pretty clever little entrepreneur from the start. Ever since, he has been looking for moments both quiet and loud. His favorite subjects to work with are his two beautiful nieces, Ariana and Briella.
Thomas’ work has been recognized by the College Photographer of the Year contest and the Hearst Competition. He has received numerous awards from the Kentucky News Photographers Association and also won 1st place in the Sports and Photojournalism category of the Microsoft Future Pro Photographer Competition. He also happens to be one of Elizabeth’s favorite comedians and an aspiring Ira Glass (This American Life). In his spare time, he enjoys writing about himself in the third person.
That’s about all, folks! Be sure to head over to the Engaged, Prepare, Unite and Celebrate galleries to view more work. Or better yet, click that Contact button above, complete the page and lets get to talking about your big day!
