The Prepared Wedding

Details alongside smiles of excitement are one of my most favorite parts of your wedding day. I enjoy learning about all the little relationships in your bridal party and family. I get teary eyed when a bride sees her Dad for the first time – or better yet, when she sees her groom. And mornings that start at the hair salon with the ladies then off to the bowling ally or golf course with the guys are some of the highlights of my wedding days.

There are so many great moments to be had while everyone prepares, has fun and anticipates the ceremonies to come. Our wedding packages are scheduled by the hour or as a full day. If you plan to have getting ready festivities included, the full day is your best bet – we’ll arrive as early as you like (yes, we’ve been seen at the hair salon as early as 5:30) and still party with you into the evening. You can also choose an hourly package and just get started a bit earlier.

When we build preparations time into your day, we often get so many other pictures out of the way early, giving you more time to enjoy your guests later. If you are going to do a first meeting with your spouse-to-be, we’ll shoot that in this time, as well as all your bridal party images and as many family combinations as we have present. If you aren’t choosing to see one another before, we most definitely cover all of your details, bridal party and family portraits. All we save for post-wedding are the full bridal party and 3-4 poses with family. We rarely keep your guests waiting and the stress of getting those frame-worthy images is gone. No stress – my favorite plan!

During consultation we often discuss how important this part of the day is. In my experience, this is the time of day when you have genuine moments with those closest to you. Still caught up in the emotions of your wedding day, but still relaxed before all of the wedding chaos begins.
