Ashley + Powell Part 2: Shelbyville Wedding Photographer

Cornflower blue, lots of hidden Mickey Mouses and  an evening of fun under the stars all went into the most perfect day to make these two Mr. & Mrs. Powell Miller.  Remember Ashley and Powell from their engagement pictures or the boys' morning of golfing? After living just a few miles from one another all throughout their childhood, they tied the knot at First Baptist Church of Shelbyville.  Surrounded by their friends for a hilarious morning of bonding and preparations, the bridal party preceded them down the aisle while Ruby Lewis and Eric Allen serenaded the occasion.  The guests were greeted by the couple's wedding monogram and Mickey Mouse details everywhere.

A personal and quite warm reception followed at the groom's parent's home where guests were treated to cupcakes, dinner by 535 Catering and music with plenty of dancing under a big, white tent.

Ashley did a great job planning everything.  Nothing went unattended to or forgotten and every step of the way there were touches of sweet, southern hospitality.  I love that these two planned much of their weekend around great friends.  They even had a second reception out - I mean waaayyy out - in a log cabin in the woods where they got to laugh with friends who came from far away and enjoy their time in the bluegrass a bit more.

A quick note before you view these: not only does their maid of honor, Kate, get all the credit for getting the two together, she also gets much credit for entertaining the guests in a big way.  One of the most personal and fun speech's I have ever seen.  You will notice her wearing some super-stylish retro-glasses, a girl scout vest and swap-it cap.  She had the crowd in stitches many times during her toast and ended on quite the hillarious note of encouragement.

Thank you for inviting me into your lives to join you as you tied the knot.  Chet and I had a great time and hope you love these!  Enjoy!!
