Keeneland & One Corgi | Josh and Ivy's Engagement Photos
That little Gertrude, "Gertie" for short was a bright busybody for our early morning Keeneland session. She started things off with her spunk and quiet corgi attitude - which had us all laughing a bit- thank goodness! Because flirting and pictures at 7:30 on a weekday are a lot to ask of people. But Josh and Ivy really rocked it. As a wee child, Ivy and I grew up riding the same sort of horses, so it was fun to make these images for she and Josh at another classic Kentucky equine highlight. Lots of connections and familiarly. You really can't beat the classic look this racecourse has to offer and I really enjoyed their outfit choices that worked well with the overall iconic green scheme of the track.
Also super excited for this wedding this winter, which comes with a promise of more green. Hopefully just as much personality, at their nuptials, as Josh's corgi cufflink's and Ivy's engagement ring that includes an heirloom family diamond. Love that. Loved, too, how easy these two are together. Josh is a quiet encourager who puts Ivy at ease and brings out her laughter and compliments her gentle, yet spunky nature.
Also extremely flattered that they thought of me for this occasion as Ivy is currently doing really neat things while she's earning a fine arts degree in Michigan. Such a blessing to get to create with other creatives who also appreciate beautiful work...a quality I can recognize because Ivy is a fellow Wes Anderson fan. Flattered all the more. Enjoy!
