Southern Spindletop Wedding | Lexington, Ky. | Leanne and Justin
So glad to be able to share these tradition-soaked images with you. Been holding these beautiful images captive while we waited for the summer issue of Kentucky Bride to release on newsstands with their images inside. Just in time to celebrate their one year anniversary. Leanne and Justin's wedding - though very warm outside - was such a refreshment. The love they share and the joy their family and friends brought to the celebration was so fun. The ladies spent a relaxing morning laughing together, dancing a bit and getting ready at such a relaxed pace. So important to remember to build in that time to just enjoy your people on your wedding day. The gentlemen spent a bit of their own time resting and enjoying one another's company in the sweet basement of Spindletop Hall. Such a neat, neat building, as you'll see.
I so enjoyed Leanne's parents and the ways in which they sought to delight her throughout the day that they would hand over her care to Justin. Her mother planned much of the event while Leanne was living away from home pursuing her pharmacy career and everything was such a testament to her likes and preferences. A classic gown with timeless accessories, beautiful arrangements and decor with a band that spoke to the fun, love they share. While I'm sure you can tell from these images how sweet Leanne's father is, I can affirm for you his sweet joy in seeing his daughter in her gown, sharing a first dance with her and generally making possible her wishes and joy in this day.
Their beautiful ceremony on the lawn was flanked by pink rose petals, a perfect arbor and the most gorgeous porch. Their wedding party and flower girl, ring bearer just added such a fitting, timeless elegance to their outdoor ceremony.
Want to share with you a quick bit from the magazine feature that sums up their wishes for the day, perfectly. From Leanne: "From a young age, I had a special vision for my wedding day. Justin and I both have a love of tradition and southern charm and we knew we wanted out wedding to epitomize both. We envisioned southern colors, an elegant outdoor ceremony, and a reception that our guests would never want to depart. Most importantly, we desired a space and locations that would allow us to bring out closest friends and family together for the special day. Given all of these wishes, Spindletop Hall in Lexington was the perfect place to tie the knot."
