Tacoma Wedding | Samantha + Brandon | Brownspoint Improvement Club
I had the pleasure of marching my little self on an airplane and flying across the country to photograph a beautiful wedding in Tacoma, Washington. Brandon and Samantha invited me out to document as they exchanged rings and promises. Brandon is one of my best friend's brother-in-law, so we got to spend lots of time touring with his family and I got to spend lots of time with my friend, Carissa. There were even some homegrown ladies from Shelby County there - Abby (who ran the Ironman) and Katie. We had the best of time hanging out with Samantha's family from rehearsal dinner through decorating for the wedding and even laughs shared over Qdoba after the happy couple had left on their honeymoon. There really aren't words to cover the fun we had. From wild stories over fish sandwiches, enjoying 70 degree weather while it was 100 at home to waking up to Mount Rainier each morning. The wedding was gorgeous, so full of love and family and we ate some of the best salmon EVERRR. And if you know me, you know how much I lovvveeee salmon.
Samantha's hair was incredible as was her commitment to purple, but everything looked so fantastic. She rode to the wedding in the family's Edsel. Her mother and aunts had ridden to their weddings in the car, some had taken their drivers tests in it, too. Crazy!
Brandon and Samantha were married at the waterfront in Tacoma, which was beautiful. I was so glad to have somewhere new to shoot. The evergreens, the water and the overcast is such a change from Kentucky. Oh, and doesn't Brandon look so handsome in his whites, next to Samantha's wedding dress? That was a welcome change for me, too. Brandon is currently headed to Afghanistan on a Navy ship, so these pictures are doubly exciting. Love that. Enjoy this sweet, family filled wedding from the west coast!
